White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows on Sunday insisted that the surge in COVID-19 deaths is something that President Donald Trump "can't control."

Meadows made the remarks during an interview on ABC's This Week program after host George Stephanopoulos noted that over 1,000 Americans had died each day for five days in a row.

"What's your strategy to turn this around?" the host asked.

......

"But this is a virus that came from China," he continued. "Something that's unexpected. Obviously when you're in the political world, there are those things that you can control, there are those things that you can't."

......SNIP"

Yeah, just stay right there. Do not move. Do not seek shelter. Do not use your storm cellar.

There is nothing you can do.

They have nothing at all. They keep harping on the China thing, because they know that it resounds with the base because they're racist and like to hear racism in action.

But the rest of us look at the rest of the world-- Asia, Western Europe, and Australia/NZ-- who all had outbreaks and tamed them.

Also NY State-- we can see in our own country that good governance can limit the deaths.

Dude, I don't care if it came from Antarctica or Belgium or Alpha Centauri. It's here now and you assholes haven't done a damn thing to try to control it. So fuck you and the virus you rode in on.

Since every aspect I can think of serves to slow or potentially postpone or otherwise give the people reason to loose faith in the election process.
