COVID-19 hit my family X2 today.

My nephew’s wife, who is a professor of pharmacology at Auburn University, and who is pregnant, is positive for COVID19.

And my dear youngest brother, who is a medical doctor treating COVID19 patients in Atlanta, is sick .. presumptively with COVID19.

My nurse practitioner niece works in a hospital and has been fine, so far. But having family with it is frightening and emotional. Your niece-in-law's pregnancy during COVID has to be scary for all.

It's hitting soooooo many people.

By the end of the year, I bet most of America will have had to deal with the virus, either personally, or among their families and friends.

and hoping for the best for both of them.

The disease hit home for me today today - my Mom was sent to the emergency room today with strong covid symptoms with most worrying being the rapid dementia-like symptoms.

Damn this disease and all the fucking republican governors that have 'opened up' their states. My Mom is in South Carolina.
