That's what I see when I look at the Trump and the Republicans handling of the virus and the economy. I am usually not a cynical person, however, I am at a complete loss to understand what the hell they are doing. They defy logic, reality, common sense. This forces you to become cynical.
It almost seems like they are trying to destroy America. It's fucked up.

(6,624 posts)... is and has always been self-enrichment and self-aggrandizement through corrupt crony capitalism. That's all he knows how to do. That's all he has ever done. His entire "management" of the crisis has been driven by those concerns and nothing else. It's not surprising in the least that it has been such a horrible, fucked-up failure of a response.
He doesn't want to destroy America; it's just that he doesn't have a clue how to save it. All his instincts are wrong, horribly wrong.
