1. And yet, he's playing golf somewhere today, I'm sure. A worthless POS and PINO. Absolutely

worthless. I personally think he's going to drop out, and let Pence take over (w/ a pardon for him of course). He is too embarrassed to take the ass whopping that in store for him this coming Nov. 2020 (pardon my rough language). He's a coward and this is somewhat feasible.

I would think the replacement ticket would be Pence and Nikki Haley, and a pardon for Trump after November 3.

A few months ago, I would never have thought Trump would give up, but he has screwed the pandemic up so badly that I think even he understands how bad things are.

Just like they did back on March 13, when the shirts wrap after trying to be safe, society will have to follow or die.

Make preparations now for the rest of the year indoors. order Christmas presents online soon. Secure things you didn't have last time.

It's coming. one way or another.

Nicole Wallace's B block from today with Michael Steele and Sen. Claire McCaskell!!! They talk about this very thing and it's very informative.

9. Hot spots need to be shut down

The infection rate nationwide is 1.5%. The infection rate where I am is under 1%. At that, indoor venues like bars and reataurants are closed. There is a mask mandate and a fine for scofflaws. It's been OK here in the city, I saw only one dicknose in the supermarket and no chin guards.

Targeted shutdowns for specified periods might be doable, but shutting down the whole country is not. People in areas with few cases would rebel against that and it would be a disaster.

With countries that had seemingly eradicated the virus (Vietnam, S. Korea) now having new cases show up, I doubt it would work, anyway.

China has slowed the spread a great deal, but the control they're exercising would never work here. It's a total surveillance state, and will probably go very wrong, very quickly.

Everyone everywhere needs to completely shut down for two weeks.

And I mean completely.

Do not leave your house.

Period. For anything except EXTREME emergencies.

Everyone.
Everywhere.

It is the only way so stop it.

And of course we won’t do what is necessary.

11. Not going to work

People need food. People need clean water. And people are going to want the lights on. Hospitals need to be staffed. All the infrastructure for those workers, like gas stations to fill up their cars, is going to have to be open. A total lockdown is not going to work, ever. It would most likely kill more people than the disease will.

Plus, there are always scofflaws and people who think the disease isn't real.

If you weren’t essential then you were fined hundreds of euros.

That’s how they stamped out the spread.

We won’t do it because we haven’t the will

It’s a virus and that’s how you defeat it.

But we are losers who think it’s a political issue.

We are a failed state

Otherwise, as China, Vietnam and S Korea are finding out, it keeps coming back.

ETA: I should also point out that the countries that have done a great job aren't chockablock full of angry RWNJs with guns who aren't going to comply with anything that tries to keep the rest of us safe.

Some states tried to and other states never did.

It might be the only way to stop COVID but it is realistically unenforceable.
