Every day now is a little more than 1% of the time

Before the election. Every day that we can kill with other news, or news about his idiocy, is over 1% closer to election day; in a few weeks it’ll be 2% per day then 3% then 5%. Eventually it will be 50% with election eve nigh.

We are asymptotically approaching the big day.

Well said! I sometimes try to think of dates and coming events in these sorts of terms, too, but I hadn't done so as well as you did here.
