(16,132 posts)Seriously? That's not a hand gesture that anyone would make casually.
Barr is (as my sister used to say) "One Sick Ticket".

(2,594 posts)I was just about to start a new discussion to ask if anyone else had seen it.
And he did it while responding to a question about excluding undocumented immigrants from the US Census.
Brazen as hell.

(38,061 posts)That would be the clear indicator, but I haven't seen video of him speaking at length.
If it's something he's done for years, no, or at least a pleasant (for him) coincidence.
If not...

(1,294 posts)For too long we've let the forces of evil co-opt our words and symbols (e.g., the Nazis and whirling logs, the right and the word "liberal" ). Well, I, for one, refuse to give up and let them have the gyan mudra.
I have used it in the past, and I'll use it in the future.
And I'm proud to call myself a liberal. Not a progressive; I'm a liberal!
(I still can't bring myself to use the whirling logs, though. It's going to take at least a few generations before that symbol can be reclaimed.)
