(7,715 posts)I would say excellent, and it is. But I guess it gives me no joy to hear this so powerfully stated. It makes me sad, and then furious
My kudos to TLP: the call it like it is, and actually refer to Trump as a "fool" in this.
It didn't have to be this way...but it is because of Trump..."he, and he alone"

(15,536 posts)Finally got to retire and time to travel and do those things we always thought we'd be doing and now we can't even go visit or meet fellow retirees for coffee and a bagel, etc. It's one thing when you're young, but we only have so many "good" years left.
All those GOP'ers who allowed this to happen deserve our extreme hatred.

(6,169 posts)It's either America or Trump. You can't have both.
If we keep Trump, we lose America.
If we want to keep America, we have to lose Trump and all his facilitators.

(9,650 posts)And I knew what was coming. The part about not being able to be with a loved one when they die. I cannot imagine the grief that that has caused to people all around the world.
That thing in the White House could have stopped the virus in its tracks. Instead, over 150,000 people, (and counting,) have died in this country. Multiply that by all the people who couldn't say goodbye.
Some day we will get back to birthday parties and graduations. We will get to go to football games, and go to a restaurant for a nice meal.
But for all the people who didn't get to sit there and hold the hand of a loved one while they were dying? They will never, ever be able to get that back. They will forever feel sorrow and guilt over not being able to be there at that final moment.
I was holding my Mom's hand when she died. I held my Dad's hand when he died. It makes me furious beyond belief that loved ones have not been able to do this one simple, but profoundly important thing in life. Our souls need to be able to do this, to comfort and say goodbye to those we love.
I sincerely hope there is a hell, and I hope Trump rots in it for eternity.
