Wife went into Burger King today and not a single employee was wearing a mask and they blew it off when she called them on it. Who do you call to report it to?

(15,137 posts)That's nuts!
I went to my car dealership the other day for a new headlight. They have big signs on every door that masks are required inside - it's a state mandate. And there were three asshole customers - one wandering around looking at cars and the other two sitting in the customer lounge watching TV and chatting. I'm guessing that the dealership didn't want to piss off customers by saying anything.
I waited outside in the heat until my car was finished.

(9,998 posts)Tell them you're taking your business elsewhere.
Go on Yelp & Google and leave Reviews saying nobody wore masks, and you felt uncomfortable.
Send a Letter to the Corporate office.
Don't expect anything to come of it, but you'll feel better when you choose in the future to patronize an establishment that follows the guidance.

(34,085 posts)In most states they are in charge of enforcing it - and have the ability to assess fines and/or close the business.
I'd go there before I go to the business - much more likely to get a response.

(146,324 posts)I did that once for a local Taco Bell. Not for masks, but because the place was filthy and nobody was following the sanitary rules at all. I saw one guy mopping the floor and then going right to food prep with no gloves.
I emailed corporate with the number of the store, described what I had seen, and got an email right back from someone at corporate. the next time I was in that Taco Bell, there was an entirely new staff, the store was spotless and everyone was wearing gloves. Corporate can pull a franchise if they want to. I suspect the franchise owner got a nastygram from corporate.

(2,861 posts)We have those down here in South Florida. Anyway, I would call them and your local health department. The health inspector can shut them down.

Some states have hotlines.

If not there isn't much that can be done about it. You could call their corporate customer service and complain but IME for most companies that is like shining a flashlight into a black hole.

Is there a number in Michigan for filing complaints against businesses during the coronavirus disease emergency?
Michigan residents are urged to report any violation of the Consumer Protection Act online or by calling 877-765-8388.

(100,096 posts)If they refuse to wear masks, chances are good that there's tons of other underlying health code violations there, too.
