Anyone dying of this virus is a tragedy, including Herman Cain.

It's tragic that he stupidly bought into the disinformation. It's tragic for those around him who may have been affected. It's tragic for his family and friends.

The only bright side is that this tragedy might wake some people up. If a few more conservatives start wearing masks because of this, then that would be a positive.

But I'm not going to celebrate people dying, no matter how much I disagree with them.

And this:

?s=20

This is a man who ridiculed others for taking medically-advised precautions. Did his unsound advice lead to others getting sick and dying?

Note: This is not mocking his death - it is mocking the sanitizing of his personal history of mocking those who were making efforts to avoid transmission of COVID 19.

2. I agree, making light of the death of any human being diminishes us.

Plus it makes us just like the ones we are so against who pray for RBG's early passing. I know it is hard, and it is hard, but we have to be above that kind of behavior or the phrase "they are all alike" fits us.

Thank you both for your wise and compassionate thoughts. We are all experiencing some of the most overwhelming anguish anyone can imagine in trying to make it through this pandemic alive and intact -- financially, socially, emotionally. It's truly difficult to hang on to compassion sometimes given the circumstances, but it's a worthy endeavor.

no paycheck and living off savings that I will need as I go old with a lousy SS. Cain was a voice the leads others to not wear masks and take virus seriously giving it to others.

He wasn't exactly Bill Barr or some neferarious powerful person.

If it happens to Bill Barr or Trump, I will celebrate.
Heck as much as I loathe Ted Cruz, if he died from it, I would probably be sad cuz he's a dad.

Cain has a family that loves him and will miss him. No matter that I don't agree with him I can't and won't celebrate his death or make a joke about it.

Cain took some wrong turns and is dead because of his own judgement. No, he may have infected and killed others too, no sorrow for Cain from me.
