the fact that they haven't been welcome at any funerals, including John McCain, who was a member of their party says a lot about how awful this administration and the people who surround him are that they can't show their faces.
It's just plain sad and depressing to think we've come to this in my lifetime. |

And the little bit that I saw- versus listening on NPR showed people hugging each other- OMG I am so hoping that our Speaker did not hug anyone! Or any of our former Presidents!
They are all so precious! In fact I am so relieved that nobody from Trump camp came as they would have for sure brought COVID with them! |

Dubya was about as much of that side as I could stomach - mainly because he's no longer in position to do any serious harm to our country or (what's left of) our government or our policies. trump people didn't belong there, anyway. For example, someone from the WH Office of Legislative Affairs or a Leg Affairs office in one of the cabinet departments could have attended. Or a staffer from one of the district or regional offices based in Atlanta who worked with Lewis' office could have gone.
