Delay the Election?

At the rate Trump’s poll numbers are cratering – and given that every time he opens his mouth, they fall even further – it seems apparent that delaying the election would mean losing in an even bigger landslide than the Dotard is already facing.

As with so many other things, I don’t think Donald has thought this one through. Not only does he lack the power to do what he’s proposing, it would be totally against his own best interests to do so.

My advice to Donnie would be to propose an earlier election date – because the numbers he has right now will be much better than the numbers he’ll have by November 3rd.

Quit while you’re ahead, Donnie – or, more accurately, quit while you’re only this far behind.

or pulls the constitutional trick of throwing the election to the house of reps (with 1 state = 1 electoral vore) by contesting enough state electors? who will stop him?

Pa. will declare the election invalid from mail in voter fraud and instead of going by the will of the people elect Electors who will cast the Electoral votes. He won't stop people from voting he will just have Republican controlled states do what Pa. is talking about doing.

... who will support him?

Are the Republican PTB ready to throw out the Constitution in order to prop-up the man who is costing them their own House and Senate seats, their own governors' positions, their own positions as mayors?

If there's one thing you can count on, it's that when push comes to shove, Republicans will cover their own asses before they cover the ass of a man who is costing them their jobs.

Contesting states would cause them to forfeit their electoral votes, which means they won't count towards determining the majority.

.....with lots of electoral votes and tools for governors, like Florida and Texas, refused to certify their vote, then the electoral total would never break the mandated threshold. I don’t know if the electoral votes needed resets if states don’t certify results. I think that the 12th amendment has some strange provision that then throws the election back to the House where each state gets one vote. The state legislature determines how that one vote is to be cast. Something like 30 states are controlled by Republicans thanks to years of gerrymandering.

Seems improbable that enough people would go along with it, but then I had been practicing saying Madame President.

Pa. is talking about declaring the election fraudulent, not Trump declaring it fraudulent, throw out the actual votes, elect Electors who will cast the Electoral votes for Trump bypassing the will of the people.

Even what you are saying will help Trump won't it? If Biden wins Pa. and the Pa. legislature declares the election was fraudulent it is Biden who misses out in getting the electoral votes.

And that we’ll have a panacea or two to thwart the plague, which might just magically go away anyway by then.

And that the 350k troops he’s ready to use on us will have knocked out crime and terror (in “Democrat” cities).

Maybe he believes it.

But I doubt he believes much of anything.

it 2016. He is doing everything he can do to start a
civil war. As soon as it looks like he is going to lose he will have his gun toting supporters in Washington backing him up. It is frightening to take a drive around the countryside here in Ohio. There are Trump flags, signs,
and caps everywhere you go. I have seen one sign saying
Anyone but Trump and that is it, one. His supporters are rabid nut jobs that will believe and do whatever he tells them.

And some people did think he would win, because there were EC projections of 52:48.
The people who predicted that had HRC with a 2.5-3% PV win.
She did just that.
So, the probability of PINO winning in 2016 was light years from zero.
I live in an area where I can get to rural in a few minutes.
I see nearly no PINO signs. Those I do see stick out.
I get I'm in a blue state, (Illinois), but even Obama didn't get 80% of the vote, and he lived here!
There are repubs everywhere. But, I'm not seeing the bold support around here.
