If trump can destroy American democracy, then we never were what we believed ourselves to be.

If we re-elect him then we are the nightmare the rest of the world has been accusing us of being. We will not be able to delude ourselves with the idea of being a shining city on a hill. We will understand that we are the evil.

For me, the idea that this monster of a human being could wreck America is nonsense. The harm he is doing is horrific, yes, and will take work to repair. He is an living lesson which teaches us how strong we need to be, not how weak we are. In the face of his hate filled, self serving, flailing we see the ugly underbelly of American hate and murderous devisions that course in dark corners of our nation.

Re-electing him will fulfill the greatest desires of the enemies of America. To see the death of democracy brought about by the machinations of such an inhuman beast is not his fault, it is ours. We all know he is incapable of being a patriot. He is the very definition of an anti-patriot. He is indecency incarnate.

If we re-elect him we adorn ourselves with the cloak of trumpism and all that that means. We will have destroyed democracy in America, he is only the path to that destruction.

But we did make a lot of advances in civil rights . Trump is a backlash to all of that . But he is illegitimate .

He can also only "win" this time by cheating also .

Our system gives disproportionate power to those areas which tend to have more racists.

Don't ignore the positive things we have done and can still do . But also we have to face there is a real ugliness in our country . In other countries on the same level us as these would be more the fringe . Even countries that have elected conservative leaning types like in the UK would NEVER support Trump .

I believe in a fair election Biden would easily win. But Trump will still get many votes . And most of these are hateful types .

With OBama people wanted to act like we were in a "post racial" society but we saw that wasn't true with the attacks OBama faced from REpublicans who had racist constituents. And especially with things like Trayvon Martin shooting and anytime Obama spoke about racism .

Obama lost support from White people after he made comments about black/brown men being unfairly pulled over while driving. He never got this support Back .

8. In 2029 we're going to find out if the GOP's strategy to assure perpetual minority rule, by placing

its heavy thumb on the scale of democracy to tilt the field in their favor, will continue to be successful. If certain groups within the Democratic party, the ones who stand to lose the most if Republicans retain control, fail to turn out in large numbers, then American democracy will be destroyed.
