Our government betrayed us like never before.

Our response to the pandemic is worse than almost any other country in the world.

My neighbor mentioned China and started to bring up another country. I interrupted him and said when you need to look hard to find countries doing worse than us, then you have lost the argument.

Our country has the best people and the best tools in the world yet the Trump administration failed us. It's that simple.

And then I had to look it up because it seemed wrong.

But yes, we have twice as many deaths as China has infected (roughly). And they have like 3x as many people too.

It is staggering the level of our suffering compared to anyone else in the world.

The House bill was good, it is only the parts of Government controlled by the Repugs that failed.

My Democratic Governor and State did not fail me.

To say "The Government" and not The Republicans is both siderism and is a failure of perspective.

"Our country has the best people and the best tools in the world yet the Trump administration failed us. It's that simple."

However, from a yes or no perspective, the government as a whole failed us. "I ran the fastest but my team lost the race" doesn't mean you won.

Our government failed us. It's a fact.

The Government failed because it is run by Republicans.

If you had said the Republican Government failed, Okay.

But you didn't, so I disagree with your statement.

To then say we must elect Biden proves that it is not "The Government" but the Republicans who run it.

Not Democrat but Republican governance. To count this as failure of government is not accurate and denigrates those who have and are acting responsibly in this time.
Also to label this as a failure of government ignores the root cause which includes our citizens failure to participate in the voting booth. We get the government we deserve, especially when we do not participate.

As a government, we are one. My view on governance is what I qualify with the statement above.

As a government, we are failing. Things need to change and the people you think I am denigrating are the very people I voted for and have faith in.

Instead of "Johnny's team lost" you want "Johnny ran the fastest but his team lost". I understand. However, Johnny's team still lost.

Our government is still failing us. Yes, it hurts to acknowledge that we're part of it. 'Hard to believe actually.

However, it's this cold hard fact that's going to wake people up. That's why even Republicans are voting for Biden. Not because they like our policies. It's because... Our government is failing us.

"We" are not part of this failure.

We have an illegitimate man as President and a minority party running much of Government.

I simply do not accept your premise or your "all on the same team" analogy.

When a key person cheats and throws the game for the opposition, the team did not fail, someone cheated and cost them the game.

WE can change what is happening, but WE did not fail.

By refusing to convict criminal trump, and if they had of we wouldn't have been in this disaster now. trump and republicans refused to do anything when they knew this virus was deadly , and still are . Look who has stalled this next package for 2 months and over 10 days , and now the American people are suffering while they've almost assured us this country is headed into a trump depression. trump and republicans betrayed us by doing nothing knowing putin had bounties on our service members, and trump refuses to confront him tells me one thing , putin and trump and the GOP are in this together to hurt us , and this country. trump intentionally pulled people out of China there to help fight and keep us posted about the virus, which trump knew at least by Nov. what was going on, and did nothing. This isn't just trump , its the GOP to protecting trump and helping putin now,and still causing the virus to spread from their actions , and not taking actions , and are threatening our children by forcing them back to school while a deadly out of control pandemic is raging across this country . Until they are ousted this will only worsen.

With about 4% of the world's population, the US has nearly 25% of covid cases and deaths.
If we were handling it correctly, we would have 4% of cases and deaths.
If we were the best in the world, our cases would be less than 4%.
