I moved to safari for other reasons but don't seem to have that problem on here.
Have the same issue with dailykos on Chrome but so far not on safari. I am using an Apple Mac mini.

Funny characters where quotation marks should be. Also hyphens and apostrophes. I am using Chrome. I checked several threads in the past few minutes and saw the problem in all of them

8. Weird characters are gone from earlier today.

Not as snappy as before, it still lags (roughly twice as long as usual, +/- 1 second) when entering or exiting a post/page.

Using Windows 7 Pro with Firefox on a laptop and Android 9 on the phone.
