(34,857 posts)That's some shitty vetting if it wasn't found out during the last couple of weeks and they were that close to pulling the trigger.

(86,378 posts)she been under consideration? Then again, waiting leaves less time for attack before the nomination day. I wouldn't worry too much about it, it's just a few days.

(34,857 posts)But my concern would be rooted in their choosing her, then realizing this story has broken, and now having to go back and choose someone else. That's not a strong operation if this is the case.

(86,378 posts)read too much into it, so it isn't this week that they will announce. Other than that all I know is what I saw earlier. I have a different favorite but I'll be okay with whomever gets the nod. I don't know how large the vetting team is but they sure had a lot of work to do and there is a pandemic raging through the land after all. A scientology connection is a scratch her off the list item for me, though.

(58,785 posts)did the usual politician gladhanding and gladtalking of a local group at a ribbon cutting. No one does that more than Biden, who values being on good working terms with everyone.
Anyway, if she was likely to be the choice, why wasn't she talked about among others for the past year? Biden isn't McCain having a hired team dig him up a running mate. He's known what he wants all along.
