AK Republican Rep Gary Knopp dies in planecrash

Read this on CNN. He was the pilot and only person in his plane. It collided midair with another plane with 6 passengers (pilot, guide and 4 twenty something tourists from SC).

Tragic accident for sure!... but what I found interesting was an article from Ballotpedia on his recent recall because he was working with Democrats.

who thinks it's gotta be pretty hard to collide a plane into another plane? Like as in, you've gotta try really, really hard?

I am not a conspiracy theorist ...but ...that recall effort was very recent and he had to of been getting some humongous backlash as Alaskans are not people to be effed with.

I just had this feeling like something's wrong with this "crash".

Colliding midair with another aircraft is VERY EASY to do. If another aircraft is on a course that basically intercepts yours, it does not move relative to you. It just gets larger REALLY FAST! This situation does not involve foul play. I’ve had some near misses. It happens way too much, even when you are vigilant.

I know there is a lot of small craft traffic in AK. So maybe not suspicious after all but had my "fishy smell" glands going for a bit. Lol!

and they ran into each other.

I guess the accident report listed license numbers "1" and "2".

Similar things, do similar things in the same places. So, they have to watch out for each other.
