don't, I will leave. Simple as that. Any businesses that wants my business will have to earn it, by clearly demonstrating that it cares about the health of its workers and customers, and when they don't enforce the mask or distancing rule, call the police. Some businesses are already doing this, people are getting sick and tired of the one or two people who are throwing a stupid fit over wearing a mask or distancing, kind of childish, actually and it's pathetic.

when it's just a cold or stomach bug, it's just something you deal with.

when it's a lethal pandemic, wtf are people thinking?

4. Huh. That never happened to me when my kids were little.

And actually, my kids got sick a lot less than most kids, for some reason. My husband, on the other hand, would get sick and blame the kids, but more often he was the one bringing something home to them.

sure, there's going to be plenty of variance, and some people "never get sick" (or at least their symptoms never become noticeable or bothersome).

but ask around, i'm sure you'll find plenty of parents who got sick shortly after the start of a new school year, after switching schools or day care, etc.

in our experience, it happens more when the kids are young; mini-unblock is 14 now and it doesn't happen as much. i guess there are only so many basic cold/flu strains and we've probably been exposed to most of them by now, so that must be helping. i'm sure it also helps that his immune system is better than it was when he was younger, so we're exposed to less of whatever he brings home....

Even non-parents know when school starts back, viruses and flu and colds will be making their rounds. Even I know that and I am always the last person anyone clues in on anything, literally the last to know. I guess not this time. You are an exception to the rule and apparently one of the last to know. Because I hate being the last to know on so many things, I will do for you what rarely anyone ever does for me. I will clue you in. Most know to expect rampant viruses, colds, and flu every school year. It happens like clockwork.

15. I am simply the healthiest person I know.

I'm 71, almost 72 (later this month). I've had maybe three colds in the last ten years. Never get flu, don't get flu shots. I'm constantly astonished at how many people just get sick all the time.

Not entirely sure why I have such an excellent immune system, although as a young child, until I was seven, we lived in a low-income housing development. Lots of kids, plus I was one of six children. I got sick a lot when I was young. Then, around the time I turned seven I stopped getting sick a lot, and then other than a normal amount of colds until I was about 40 or so, I almost never got anything.

And I don't have any kind of special diet, cheerfully eat meat. However, I rarely get fast food and essentially never have soft drinks any more. I sometimes wonder if soft drinks, whether diet or sugared aren't a bigger culprit than they're given credit for.

In any case, I try to appreciate my remarkable good health.

possible deaths, because our government said to. They keep saying we cannot afford this and that because our grandchildren will have to pay for it. They have been saying that to us long enough now that WE ARE the grandchildren who supposedly would have to pay for it someday. Remember, the money they are telling us we are freeloaders for needing to get through Covid is money we had to pay them in the first place, when they beat us up and took part of our earnings like milk money. OUR GOVERNMENT is using a REVERSE ROBIN HOOD scheme to make billionaires even richer while we suffer, then turning around and calling us freeloaders. OUR GOVERNMENT is comprised of people who live off our tax money INCLUDING having the medical care they tell us we do not deserve to have, using OUR TAX MONEY to do it.

Anyone else resent having to pay for wars and tear gas and "rubber" bullets for the police to use and attack us simply because we disagree with their continual murder of people simply because of their skin color? Anyone else resent that, knowing Republicans can just refuse to let their tax money go to things they do not agree with? We should start taking what we want when we have control of government instead of still giving Republicans what they want all the time. This is like watching an abused mother give and give to a child molesting, rapist boyfriend who is just going to continue to abuse her and her kids until he kills her and destroys her kids' lives. That is what the Democratic Party acts like instead of standing up to the Republicans. Remember the Republicans are the enemies, the bad guys, like the abusing, child molesting, rapist boyfriend is. They are the real bad guys here. Don't give in to them any more. In government, they don't have to put up with that shit for lack of resources and help, because they have all our tax money at their fingertips unlike actual abused women and children, who still have so little help and have to put up with the police wringing their hands and telling her over and over again that they cannot help until he kills her and/or her kids.

Every American parent should refuse to send their kids to school until this government flattens the curve on Covid. Better yet, refuse until our government acknowledges its role in making it so bad in the first place AND makes it go away completely. Kids don't deserve to be guinea pigs in Trump's sick, deranged experiments. How long before he is forcing kids to drink aquarium cleaner or accepting injections of Clorox? Don't think he will? He would stop at nothing with his sick, depraved mind and his sick, depraved white supremacist, racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic bullshit. He's batshit and no one is calling him on it. Pot users have suffered bigger and more severe "tough love" interventions than he ever will and he would do the worst stuff you can imagine. I'm so sick of a president who tells me aquarium cleaner and Clorox injected into the veins is healthcare for a pandemic. Why do Republicans live to be so old and then keep living and spreading their lies and bullshit for so long after even that? Fucking hell.

It is why America is in such shit shape right now too. We need to quit capitulating when we don't have to and quit getting caught off guard when the Republicans cheat and steal elections over and over and over again. Watch those fuckers. They are going to steal this election. Watch them like hawks. Trump projecting the way he does about the mail in ballots means they plan to take what happened in my district in NC nationwide now. They merely got slaps on the wrists for it and got to have a new election with ALL NEW CANDIDATES for their theft and election fraud. In other words, they were rewarded for that shit. They will continue to do it until someone stops them.

Why do people think a pandemic that infects humans think it won't affect children when more and more studies are showing it does. Children are humans too. Of course, Covid can infect them too. Why would anyone think they are magically immune to a virus that affects humans? They are little humans, for crying out loud.

I'm just ranting at this point, because I hate to see innocent people put in harm's way at the insistence of a damn dictator with a depraved mind.

1 started without a mask, was told to put on on.
1 took his off by the end

Both are at very high risk (heart problems).

There's a mandatory mask policy that I will be expected to enforce . . . I can just hear it now - But so-and-so isn't wearing one.
