Mary Trump stark warning re: political ambitions of Ivanka & Don Jr - & possibility of Trump Dynasty

Uggh... British interview with Mary Trump is enligtening, disturbing, and compelling.... I tried to snip the best parts, but you lose some context by not reading it all

Mary Trump has a stark warning about the political ambitions of Ivanka and Don Jr – and the possibility of a Trump dynasty

https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/trump-mary-cousin-ivanka-don-jr-family-dynasty-2020-election-a9653186.html
--snip--
According to his niece, Mary Trump, the question of her cousins’ potential dynastic ambitions is a relevant one, albeit one that “makes [her] head hurt”. --snip--

“The fact that the Republican Party is in such a state that either one of these people could be considered is quite astonishing,” says Dr Trump, who adds that of her two eldest cousins, it is more likely that Donald Trump Jr – who she calls “Donny” – will follow his father into the political arena.

“He’s tied into the base in a more fundamental way because he’s so abrasive and so vicious from what I can see online, he has no boundaries he won’t cross, and there’s nothing he wouldn’t do to advance Donald’s agenda, so I assume the same thing would be true for his own,” she explains. “But I don’t see Ivanka having the same kind of appeal to them [the GOP base] in brute force terms.” --snip--
“If Joe Biden wins, his margin has to be enormous. It has to be so big that practically nobody other than the 22 per cent to 28 per cent of people who won’t question anything Donald does – and even somebody like Mitch McConnell – isn’t going to be able to claim that it wasn’t a clean victory,” she explains, adding that a “huge and crushing” loss will cause the president to be “so narcissistically injured that he’ll have to get away from it just to protect himself from acknowledging it”. --snip--

When asked if Donald Trump would flee to one of his international properties to avoid prosecution, she says such a possibility would be “freaky” because her uncle is “so provincial”.

“But on the other hand, he almost never goes outside, so what difference does it make where he lives?

1. Sins of the father

By the time those demon spawn make a move o consolidate power, the electorate will be reflexively spitting on the ground upon hearing the trump name.

13. As I posted in #2. The ONLY way the jerk-off kids will go anywhere but obscurity (or jail) is if

the head a'hole pulled out another stolen election. But, Joe's win has to be overwhelmingly decisive, Mary is quite right on that.

Still, whether superstitious or not, I refuse to use the term "never" in terms of this election.

6. Watching them both on the apprentice

Donny Jr has no backbone, no ambition I don't think. Ivanka is like a stepford wife, and wants to be sort of cool modern, so I don't think she has that kind of ambition either, other than fancy shoes and tweet pics of her in the kitchen with her child .

7. Cult 45 would back Jr. in a flash.

I think she nailed it here:

“He’s tied into the base in a more fundamental way because he’s so abrasive and so vicious...I don’t see Ivanka having the same kind of appeal to them (the GOP base) in brute force terms.”

8. Someone here on DU made the case that Trump wouldn't even feel anything if

something terrible happened to Ivanka or Don Jr. It's a good theory and worth thinking about. I think about Trump's father and how he would have reacted if something happened to Donald Trump. I think he would have been devastated, but not like a normal father. Fred would have been devastated because he created Donald Trump in his own image and Donald became an extension of himself and an exteriorization of his idea of his own success. "I taught him how to do this. He is successful because of me."

This is a family where the males don't observe or respect normal boundaries, and where children are possessions not entitled to make their own choices in life.

Trump initially rejected Don Jr. but Don Jr has done everything he can now to earn his father's respect (he'll never has his father's love, because his father is incapable). Depending how you look at it, Don Jr. is trying to create himself in Donald's image, or Donald might well take all the credit for whatever 'success' Don Jr. achieves.

I think the reason Melania keeps Barron as far away from Trump as possible is because she doesn't want Barron to be recreated in his father's image.

But I think we need to humiliate the entire family out of the social realm. They will still be welcome on OANN, but civilized society will reject them.

that is exactly the term. when I see people saying he will run away to Russia, I just have to roll my eyes. the guy is so like his base - if he wasn't "rich" and needed to occasionally go open/promote a trump-branded property he probably wouldn't even have a passport.

the clown eats ketchup on well-done steak for fucks sake!

11. Yes, if elevation of his "brand" didn't force him to leave the bedroom, I do

believe he'd be a recluse, like Howard Hughes. (Well, also, he's addicted to the adulation.)

14. I'm more worried about rich people in general deciding to be President as a vanity project.

Which to me is precisely why Trump ran for President. His vanity.

I can picture these billionaires with deep pockets deciding to one-up the others by becoming The Most Powerful Man In The World, for all the wrong reasons.

You don't get filthy rich without being a competitive narcissist (unless to the manor born).

I believe Trump's personality syndromes are shared by a lot of the super wealthy.

15. "Unless to the manner born"... yes

FDR may not have been perfect (nor, of course, JFK), but both, despite their "privilege" came in to do good for the American people--all the American people--of that I am certain.
