$200 or $600 a week? Let's let the people decide.
That's the rule for Supreme Court Justices in an election year, right? Simple internet poll should clear things up. It is our money after all, why can't we decide to share it evenly among ourselves? We can't wait for Biden to be elected to sort this out, this needs to be done last week.

1. I would vote for $300
With an extra $100 weekly given to all Americans including those who are still employed to help them out a bit in these hard times.

4. Agreed
Why should it be rewarding to be unemployed? What about all the people who are still working but have seen their hours cut like myself? I'm starting to think we just need some kind of ubi for people earning less than 70k per year until things get back to normal

3. Have you driven around Trump's America lately?
Half the stores are closed, closing or never reopened. Open businesses are at 50 to 75% of their former operations. Some parents can’t work because their kids can’t go to school.
There are a lot of people in need of more than 150, 200 or 300 a week. |

5. I'm talking about the Congressional deadlock over the amount of the unemployment supplement.
The gop does not understand what people are going through now, or how much worse it will get if nothing passes or if the amount gets cut to $200. It is a risky game to hold the line, even for a bottom line of $400 but the gop will never be at the table to do anything before the election. They need to pass something soon, but it can't be inadequate.

6. Give everyone
1,000, bux a month until deaths go to 100 per state or below and give it evenly to every person residing in America.
Begin with a claw back the ppp loans from trump and big corporations that didn't need it. Remember our government controls the money and the market. We can afford it if we tax the rich at the rate they were once taxed in 1970s tax them on everything they own and what they "earn". And capital gains. Add in inheritance tax for properties 1 million and above, and a capital gains tax and remove the social security cap.. Add in inflation to translate to the value of what things cost today, and the deficit from paying everyone 1000 bux will go pouf. We would have plenty for single payer too, after that. |

7. not only that shouldn't this be a door opening to talking about
min wage in this country and how low the min wage is.
Republicans want to to use the talking point that they don't want to give people $600.00 because it is more than them working. a reporter anchor really needs to drive that point home. and hold them to that talking point. We need to take this pandemic as a learning lesson as to how to make this country better. |

Rich people don't deserve a payment.
