Who are the Republicans in the Senate that we can work with?

Let's say that things on election day are close to what we see in polling now.

Biden wins the Presidency and Democrats net gain 3 or 4 seats in the Senate, taking the majority.

There is still going to be the issue of the filibuster and we aren't going to get rid of it (probably unwise to do and wouldn't have the votes).

So, to pass our agenda outside of what we could do with reconciliation we would need 9 or so Republicans to come along. Who are the ones that Biden could entice to vote with us to get something done, and what could we offer to bring them along?

I'll start first with the two most obvious ones.

Mitt Romney and Lisa Murkowski.

Both of these are immune from primary challengers and are known as moderates in the Senate. Romney will never lose an election in Utah and Murkowski has proven that she can win reelection even after losing the primary and launching a write-in campaign. She's untouchable in and Alaska general election.

Who are the others? I know most of these guys are scum, but there has to be a few out there.

still believe in Republican liturgy. They may have a firmer grip on the difference between right and wrong than their colleagues, but at the end of the day they still have a selfish “Why should I do anything for someone else” view of the world.

The security of his position allows him to make toothless gestures of dissent against Trump, but never confuse reasonable table manners with reasonableness.

He's still the guy who believed every word he said in the 47% video.

that much. Unless it was some temporary thing related to dealing with the coronavirus or something similar.

And many other things will matter also like how Biden did in the state each Senator is from. How things are going then.

after the GOP did nothing,we will lose the house again. NO, the filibuster must go. And we must get as much policy through as possible in order to save the economy and send help to a desperate population. Mitch will make certain nothing gets done if the filibuster remains.

Maybe we should make the Senate require unanimous votes to pass any legisltation. That would really protect the minority.

The filibuster is a disaster. It should be the first thing to go. If the Democrats don't get rid of it, then it just proves they're not serious about governing.

The filibuster is why Trump didn't get most of his agenda through congress when he had unified government. His only piece of legislation was the tax cuts. Even the republicans are smart enough to see that nuking it would come back to bite them.

None at all.

In the end, they will vote with their party on most everything.

The only "bipartisanship" that Republicans are interested in is getting Dems to cross over and vote for their stuff.
