Michelle Obama Is Reportedly Stepping In To The 2020 Election And Its Going To Make Trump Pretty Unhappyhttps://politicaltribune.org/michelle-obama-is-reportedly-stepping-in-to-the-2020-election-and-its-going-to-make-trump-pretty-unhappy/
If theres one tiny ray of sunshine in this pandemic for President Donald J. Trump, its the fact that he has one tiny sliver of hope to hang onto in his quest to be reelected and keep himself out of prison: That people might be too scared to physically go out and vote, and he can spread lies about mail-in voting that will cause Republican legislatures across the country to do their best to suppress efforts to allow absentee ballots in large numbers or even nationwide.
In all honesty, if the election is anything that even resembles fair, Democrats should be handing Republicans their asses across the board. After all, Trump is the least popular president in the history of polling, the Republicans in Congress are historically unpopular, were in the middle of a pandemic that could have been at least mitigated somewhat by just acting a little sooner, were firmly ensconced in an economic recession bordering on a Depression, and nearly 40 million Americans have lost their jobs, with more than half that number having also lost their health insurance.
But if Trump can somehow finagle his way into preventing mail-in voting, he might stand a chance.
Enter Michelle Obama. A new report in the Washington Post says that shes about to make waves in this election, and do it in the kind of way that made her husband such an effective politician: Community organizing.

(47,586 posts)She can do a whole lot outside the White House, maybe even more. I would think eight years was enough for her. Now she can have a bit more freedom and flexibility. Personally, I would prefer no more family dynasties in our country, no matter how wonderful the people are. There are so many great ways to serve your country, without being president or vice president.

A couple months ago they were told Michelle was considering it despite saying never, because of just how horrible things have gotten under 45. But only considering it, and I can't even dare to dream that she would.

(8,596 posts)I said to my husband yesterday that I understood why she was depressed about current events. She used to see a problem and be able to turn and say something directly to the most important man in the world, the man with the power to make changes. And she trusted him.
I could see her changing her mind and running for office at some point after this. Maybe after we send Barak to the Supreme Court..

(10,303 posts)Mrs Trump as a First Lady has been acting more like a trophy wife than a First Lady IMO. What she has done has been in part ripped off from her predecessor. And ripped off poorly.

Gorgeous!
What a magnificent woman. The role model we all could look up to, and embrace. But then again, she was just as magnificent in her sleeveless shirt and mid-calf garden pants, at work out in the White House vegetable garden with a group of kids helping out. EQUALLY classy, dignified, and quite glorious.
She struck me as almost an African American Jackie Kennedy in terms of understated class, tastefulness, and elegance. That was Jackie's thing, too.
