Had a dreadful thought.

If all these people get evicted before the election. Does it invalidate their voter registration. And can they get registered at their new location in time to vote. How can we make sure they are registered.

Think about it. Those who do the evicting are not contacting the voter registration people.

And being evicted doesn't change what's on your Drivers License, either. So those who might get evicted soon can still vote, assuming they were registered in the first place. Which may actually be the biggest issue.

Some states allow same day registration to vote. Back when I lived in Minnesota more than a generation ago that was true there. We (my husband and I) dragged our landlord to the polling place on election day in 1982, had him register on the spot and vote. Hooray!

I often wonder exactly how other countries manage this.

Oh, and somewhat more to the point of the OP, keep in mind that long term homeless are probably not only registered, but are not all that invested in voting.
