My sister called yesterday. A relative told her huge blocks of zip codes missing when the mail was

sorted. They work for the post office. This has never happened before. Call your elected congress person or Senator. Make them pay in November.

17. You and your sister can be a voice for change! Here are the links.

I am sure they have the zip codes, right? They need to report which zip codes were missing and report them to the FBI and also the USPS Whistleblowers hotline.

This link goes directly to the Office of the Inspector General for the USPS.

9. The main question I have: which zip codes? We need to report them everywhere.

Not just to the FBI. Mail tampering by person or programmed machine is a federal crime.

We need to help publicize this crime.

21. I hear you.But ZIP codes are public, & the House can investigate failures to deliver to zip codes.

Pretty sure that if anyone in any ZIP codes complains to the FBI, Barr can't stop them from doing their constitutional duty.

5. Hmmmm is right!

How odd to have entire blocks of zip codes go missing. While my first thought would be that someone was careless or dropped the ball in some way - now that we have Trump's lapdog DeJoy conveniently installed, we can not rule out something more shady. From top to bottom, shady is the republican way.

6. So can Joe fire all of them his first day in?

Is that allowed? I mean I know anything is allowed for Trump to do but will Joe have the same privileges?

7. Does this have something to do with their sorting equipment?

I was hearing late last week or into the weekend that this has recently become a big problem. Where are these missing zip codes? Are they primarily in rural areas or in poorer areas within large metropolitan cities with large black and brown populations in a wide centralized area. For example, I live in Dallas, and I would describe a couple of them as South Oak Cliff and Old East Dallas, running down into Mesquite-Seagoville, though the AA and Hispanic population is widely dispersed throughout the city of Dallas generally.

I think there needs to be a Congressional investigation into this posthaste. It sounds to me like they may have targeted certain areas to purge mail delivery to specifically targeted communities much like they've strategically targeted voter purges.

People depend on mail for prescriptions.

11. I can't speak to the specifics of the OP

but I can definitely say mail is taking longer that it has in the past. I was expecting a small package (under a pound) that was mailed from Oregon to me here in western MT and it took 10 days to get here. Further, there are days when we get no mail at all at our business. That has never happened in 30 years in business at our current location. We will go 2 and 3 days at a stretch with no mail.

15. So - I go to mail a package priority mail

Itís going to a town in my same state - about 2 hrs away. The post master says it could take 4 days. So, why would anyone ever use Priority Mail?

14. I get mail most days of the week--until lately.

Two or three days a week now, I have no mail. Sometimes the next dayís mail has more pieces, but often itís still just a few pieces. Makes me wonder if some is missing. Much of it is either political or charitable solicitations, but I havenít yet received my utility bill for last month. Fortunately, I pay most of my bills online, but what happens to people who canít do that?

For the lawyers among us, what is the legal recourse to stop this and who needs to initiate it?

19. When they run out of time to hand sort, then abandon the project until the next day

perhaps a few put that pile to the back of the line, or it lacks first priority compared to other mail the next day
