21. They Make Subs' Jobs Easier...

...I can tell you that!
I don't know the nitty-gritty of their gig, but I've used the result many times.
They are very well structured laptop & tablet programs that keep everyone focused on task. Works really well for subs. I suspect the regular teachers, too.
There's an educational game, that actually pretty fun. Can't recall the name just now. But, it's fun to moderate and junior high kids seem to dig it.
I'm impressed by a lot of what I've seen.

perform in that capacity, but just as often we support a single student who has been identified as needing an adult working one-on-one with them. A lot of times it’s about staying quiet and focused on the task at hand. Sometimes it’s about managing emotions. Other times it can be about assisting with physical needs if there is a challenge for the child to manage self-care.

Occasionally a college student that was about to graduate from a College of Education would come in as part of their degree program, but it was pretty much one teacher and a class of 25-30 kids. Advanced classes were smaller, my advanced Biology class was around 8-10 students, as were the advanced Math, Chemistry and Physics classes.
