(149,615 posts)You are correct. Somehow I became confused and thought you were talking about Kamala.
My apologies!
No doubt about it.

(5,969 posts)or don't believe it when the record speaks for itself.
Yes, there are bitter-Berners who prefer the Dems losing. Whether it's for their own personal interests or just to say "I told you so" after the election, it's clear they are campaigning against the Dems.

(53,778 posts)What is it with her and Nina Turner?
Symone Sanders worked for Sanders in 2016 but from her subsequent moves you can see her affiliation with Sanders was purely a professional one. She did her job but was/is not a crazied, hatred-filled zealot who remains angry at anything to do with the Democratic Party because Sanders lost, twice.
Symone Sanders is now a senior advisor to Joe Biden's very successful campaign and remains a professional who does her job well and will have no problem finding work on Dem campaigns in the future, unlike Gray and Turner.

(8,292 posts)But that kind of venting on a public platform as a public figure with that kind of following, only helps suppress the vote and get votes for Trump. She needs to follow Shaun King's lead, suck up her pride, and get on board. Democracy is at stake. I fought for Bernie, donated, argued fiercely for him and he lost and got behind Biden. The primaries are over, and anybody on his team not willing to come on board isn't a true progressive. They are a troll and are showing their contempt for humanity clear as day.

We all desperately want Trump to lose. Why pick someone who may antagonize some in the BLM movement? Even if you dont see a problem with the pick, this move could peel away a few more votes. Especially if the GOP can get Kanye on some key districts ballot
lapucelle
(18,252 posts)Anybody who Biden picked was going to antagonize somebody.
Her tweet is devoid of any any cogent point. This isn't a warning about "tempting fate"; brie tempted fate in 2016, and we're all paying a price. She doesn't care.

(14,173 posts)I suppose if hed pick a more social justice / police reform person youd potentially antagonize somebody too. But really, how many Dem voters, would have a problem with that?

(11,738 posts)There are legitimate criticisms and questions that Kamala Harris needs to address but she is not the Presidential Candidate. Harris is the VP pick and with her breadth of experience, her obvious intelligence, and her ability to communicate effectively, should anything happen to Biden during his term, she would be able to step in and she would be great.
Are you really saying that Black voters would vote for Kanye West? Seriously? I would like to hear your calculations on that.
