I think will be that she, herself was abused, coerced and encouraged by Jeffrey Epstein, at the risk of losing his financial support, to facilitate his abuse of teenagers.
The evidence will be her dependent relationship with her father; a role that Epstein filled after his death.
Epstein can't argue. He's dead.

(27,835 posts)... (Epstein's) financial support"?
Reports estimate that Maxwell is worth $10 million (£7,997,000) but no amount has been confirmed. In 2000, the New York Post reported that Maxwell lived off an £80,000 a year trust fund set up by her father.
So exactly what 'financial support' was she dependent upon from Epstein?

(21,021 posts)Around the time of her arrest. How much of that $10 m. came from Epstein? It's common knowledge that she was broke and supplied him with social contacts and prestige. He in return financed a life to which she was accustomed.
Ghislaine, left with a reported trust fund that paid $US100,000 a year, moved to New York City in 1991 to start anew.

Seems like a lot of money but to a young woman of Maxwell's tastes and upbringing, it's nothing. It was a symbiotic relationship where Maxwell provided entre to her circle of friends and acquaintances and Epstein footed the bill.
