2. I thought of two new categories.

1. The "anti-faxxers" who refuse to accept objective facts that contradict their ingrained beliefs.
2. The "Fox-holes" who believe anything they hear on FoxNews, including that every other news outlet is fake news.

6. Your # 2 is the one I believe to be the most common. Lots of my relatives and my son-law's family

are in that group.

10. Couple of new terms for me

Have I been missing out? I don't think I've heard the term Fox-holes, but I like it. I generally call them Fauxbots.

It took me a few minutes to realize that "anti-faxxers" wasn't a typo for anti-vaxxers.

13. I'm pretty sure I picked up "Fox-holes" from someone's post here on DU, but . . .

I think "anti-faxxers" is all mine! (Nerd that I am, I even googled it before I used it in my post to see if it had been used online yet.)

I do like "Fauxbots," though. It makes me think of online "bots" and also, those disgusting bot flies that plant their eggs in the flesh of animals, and their larvae hatch out, and ewww! Yup, "Fauxbots" works on both levels!

3. As someone else said, "the anti-faxxers"

Family in our neighborhood with minority members supports 45 because they say Biden went to Epstein's island for underage sex because of a You-tube video they watched. They also believe in MMS from that stupid church in FL (the family is not religious) and the stupid Plandemic video.

4. I just encountered "Nice White Ladies"

"Nice White Ladies" who are glad to get permission from Trump for their genteel and coded racism.

They aren't the terrible violent women knocking down mask racks at Target, but they feel emboldened to be a little louder in their genteel racism. "She's just not our sort, is she?"

5. Do you specifically mean people who back Trump or simply Republicans who favor Republican policies?

I think there's a difference between someone who would vote for Mike DeWine, Mitt Romney or Larry Hogan as opposed to someone who backs Trump.

8. Gun nuts, bullies, and control freaks

Insecure guys, who feel super-masculine only carrying a weapon.
Bullies and control freaks, who have only domineering aggression in the their social tool kit

9. The Johnsons...

In reference to President Lyndon Johnson's anecdote about blaming minorities for everything, while picking the pocket of these racist people.

These Dicks usually live off the social system in one way or another but don't want "Those" people to have access to it.

15. This is how we risk losing...

Dropping all Trump voters into a lazy stereotypical category ignores the fact that a documented share of Obama voters went from Trump because of economic unease and a belief that politicians of both Parties weren't dealing with their issues. Those voters can be won back as long as we don't disparage their past voting behavior and offer them a compelling alternative.
