15. I have a serious question about impeachment

After the elections and the dems take the senate as well, can the dems do impeachment in the house and send it to the senate after the new congress is seated (I think Jan 6) and have Trump impeached before inauguration, and then that would stop any pardons of him, for assurance but also gets him out sooner?
