Mother Approved: Vice President Mike Pence is roasted on social media after declaring that he won’t let Kamala Harris touch America’s meat.
Speaking at a campaign rally, Vice President Pence said he had “some red meat” for his audience, declaring:
In fact, the California senator that he named as his running mate this week said during her short campaign for president that Americans needed to be, and I quote, educated about the effect of our eating habits on our environment.
Senator Harris said that she would change the dietary guidelines of this country to reduce the amount of red meat Americans can eat. Well I’ve got some red meat for you. We’re not going to let Joe Biden and Kamala Harris cut America’s meat.

As one might imagine, Pence was ridiculed for the awkward phrasing and lame attempt to frighten conservatives with the idea that Kamala Harris wants to take away their red meat. The following is a sample of reactions:

Trump has reduced the standards in the meat industry allowing meat products formerly considered substandard to be sold to the American public. Chickens with tumors/leasions, for instance, were formerly tossed out. Now those same tumors will be cut from the carcass and sold as inspected and qualified.
These people DO NOT CARE about anything but profit. After reading the article, I wanted to gag.
No more chicken for Peggysue. I've already eliminated veal from the menu because of the way the animals are raised/tortured. Factory-farmed chickens experience no picnic either. Keep it up and I'll turn into a vegetarian!
Btw, that headline that Harris Won't touch Our Meat? Suggestive, doncha think? Maybe a Freudian slip on the Trumpers' part because their problem with Harris seems to revolve around her strong female persona, aka ballbreaker.
