republicans believe the law is whatever they can get away with

this is the republican governing philosophy.

donnie can do just about anything because the constitutional remedy is removal by impeachment and republicans in the senate refuse to use this power, so he can get away with murder. the ultimate check on this is we the people voting him out, but as we have seen, donnie can use his unrestricted powers to cheat. bringing in foreign help, messing with the mail, using government buildings and government employees to support his campaign, trading government favors for donations, etc.

again, the constitutional remedy is removal by impeachment, but republicans in the senate won't let that happen.

this philosophy makes a joke out of democracy and a joke out of the law. the law ends up being whatever donnie wants, whatever republicans think benefits themselves. they just do, and the rest of us have no recourse.

this is essentially how hitler governed. remember, everything they did was papered up as "legal". he was given dictatorial powers by a vote of their equivalent of congress. of course, they disenfranchised some opponents and intimidated others by conducting the vote with armed fanatics in the building, but that couldn't happen here. well, except when it did, in michigan not long ago.

bad generals fight the previous war. much of what we know about politics goes out the window this time because donnie isn't going for popularity. he's not trying to get a majority. he knows damn well he's not winning legitimately, so he's trying to steal the election any way he can.

yes, we have to vote and get other people to vote and vote for biden in an overwhelming majority with enough of a margin to overcome the cheating, but we also have to keep an eye out for the cheating and call it out and stop it and demand that it gets fixed.

that's where the real battle will be fought. this will be an election like no other in america. donnie so overwhelmingly unpopular and has been throughout his reign of error that if there's any meaning left to our democracy or the rule of law, he has to be kicked out and we have to refuse to accept anything other than a proper and legitimately conducted election.

Presidential crime commission which investigates and prosecutes all criminal actions of all trump admin personnel. If a case is proven that connects russian money and direct influence on 2016, 2018 and 2020 elections, then the prosecutions should be done using the USMJ and charge under treason in military court where the maximum punishment can be inflicted.

time to quit messing around

article in the constitution itself), despite the fact that it is even in most sacred of all places, the Constitution.

Ironic that conservatives, who pride themselves in the strict interpretation of the constitution, ignore the constitution so readily when it suits their purpose in doing so, and then bring it into play when they make up things on the fly, and claim that law has been broken, etc. by the democrats and independents.

Laws don't mean anything. What means something is: what you can get away with. That's the standard in America. There is no integrity any more.

Oh, "everyone" can drive 8-10mph over the posted limit without getting pulled over.

Well, except when an officer feels like pulling someone over.

And the crap drunk drivers can get away with if they can afford a good lawyer. Sheesh.
