Problem with Trump: He didn't want to spend the time preparing for the effects of the "VIRUS"

...Donald Trump wanted to spend the time doing something else. He was so stupid and lazy that he
believed it would go away in a short time. Why bother with spending one's time doing something that is
going to go away in a very short time. So what if it would kill a few people. He could not even picture
in his mind that thousands would be killed.
...But here is the key:...All he had to do is consult with experts and other world leaders who went through this disaster, to know that our country was headed for a disaster too....BUT DONALD TRUMP HAD OTHER THINGS TO DO...MORE IMPORTANT THINGS THEN TO SPEND TIME PREPARING FOR ANYTHING THAT HE DID NOT WANT TO PREPARE FOR..

....guess what? That's it, and the real reason for this disaster. All Trump had to do is to take the time
to find out what was likely to happen through consultation with his own experts and then prepare for the what was going to happen. Trump didn't want to ..."waste the time in preparation"...

...If Obama was President of the United States currently, he would have taken the time to prepare. Why? because preparation would have saved lives, lots of lives. Donald Trump obviously .........
did not want to spend his time in preparation to save lives...why? It is obvious: Donald Trump cares only about Donald Trump..

..He could have asked 4 leading experts on contagious disease to come to the White House for an
emergency meeting and in addition to his is own expert, Dr. Fauci, the 5 could have told Trump what
was going to happen.
.....He could have had his staff set up the meeting, after all he is the President of the
United States, and those 5 experts would have come to the White House to warn Trump of what was
about to happen. The eventual meeting could have lasted even a half an hour. But no meeting, and
no listening to anyone but himself...cause he knows it all..

IMO -- it was not a lack of attention by the administration -- it was a combination of gross incompetence, the (now familiar) falsehood and lying as strategy, and passing the buck (states handle this) when failure became imminent and an embarrassment.

It was never lack of focus ...
Plenty of things get done without the president being hands on or riding herd.

Just not a tough one to grasp in any manner of reasonable. Self destruction that is a given for Trump with his dishonesty, criminal lifetime behavior.

Two things. When we knew he stiffed his vendors should have or would have been a tell from every single business person I know, that are the "vendors" and expect pay. Also his "admit to nothing". You own it for self preservation. That is why adults do it. Ya ya, he blows the mind from so many angles. A lifetime of failure without repercussion.

Trump saw an opportunity in a crisis. He politicized the pandemic. He thought he was being clever. The opportunity was to define the Dems as incompetent by withholding detection and prevention resources to Democratic-held states. He didn't care how many people died because he was doing all within his power to win re-election. Utilizing the pandemic was as good a tool as anything else. If people died, it didn't matter because if he loses the election, HE DIES. And that was all he was concerned about.

Now he's trying to disable all of the federal government so he can say that government doesn't work, and he needs to stay in power to fix it. He creates a problem, then says that only he can fix it. Except that we've seen this before. He doesn't fix anything, he only creates problems for someone else to fix.

advisor or cabinet members who had any kind of honor and conscience with yes men. Who knows how much they might have implored him to do the right thing, as you say?

Big point never mentioned...Susan Rice said that she spent an entire day during transition on pandemics. Guess who? Michael Flynn ! Who was fired weeks later. You know he didn't fill anyone in.

if he hadn't disbanded the CDC team that was already in place. They would have handled it, just as they prevented the Ebola outbreak in 2014. It was all because Diaper Donny just had to smash everything that Obama had built.
