(26,168 posts)I loved this version. Stephen Stills' playing was impeccable and Billy Porter's delivery of the song was amazing, especially with graphic backdrop. They were both great!

(20,757 posts)and no decent rock & rollers will allow the Trump campaign to play any of their songs, whether they pay or not. Democrats are graced by scientists and the artists. Republicans are saddled by corporate greed-heads and power-mad fascists.

Have a wonderful birthday.

Hopefully they won't do it again.

(37,129 posts)i checked cbs and the local networks didn't start airing it until the second hour, and the talking heads were doing all their blablabla crap over the guest speakers. (yeah, because the norah o'donnell opinion band is so much more important than listening to and watching the actual convention. ugh!)

(5,914 posts)I actually laughed out loud when he did that, after I'd been moved nearly to tears by Michelle Obama's speech. I'm not sure if they intended that.
But musically, it was a nice update to a classic rock standard.

(32,354 posts)Kind of a shame though, that old anti-war anthem being so relevant once again.
God bless Steve Stills for writing it and performing it all those years ago, and God bless Billy Porter for his world-class interpretation of it last night.
Everybody, devote 3 minutes and 13 seconds to viewing this one. We all need it.
