We know what's involved. We are able to do two things at once and hypothesize. Lord knows the Rethugs are often one step ahead for that reason.

The way he is running his campaign one wonders if he really wants the job. His father was not able to win the nomination so maybe winning the nomination was all he that he wanted, as Ann said "this is really hard to do" so maybe they imagined how hard it would be if they won the White House.

It doesn't really matter if he does or not. It isn't necessary for Obama to be the winner.

Even with voter suppression. The blue states will turn very blue very fast based on exit polling and they'll call it pretty early like in 2008. I was shocked at how quickly they called PA especially since McCain really thought he had a shot here and did lots of last-minute appearances.
My prediction (fingers crossed!) the popular vote is way closer than the Electoral College, which will be closer than 4 years ago but still pretty decisive.
