been sitting there from days ago.

"I served as a regulator of the Postal Service for nearly 18 years under three presidents and I urge everyone to be calm. Don’t fall prey to the alarmists on both sides of this debate. The Postal Service is not incapacitated. It is still fully capable of delivering the mail. The focus of our collective concerns should be on how the Postal Service can improve the speed of delivery for election mail."

“The office has been flooded with calls for the past few days,” said Katie Hobbs, the secretary of state of Arizona and a Democrat. “The concern I have is that, like any campaign of misinformation, it attempts to undermine voters’ confidence in our process.”

Since mail is down 20 to 30%, why replace infrastructure? Also, reinstating overtime doesn't appear needed, especially when workers are back from taking sick leave during CV19.

The PO has removed 240,000 blue mailboxes since 1985, on average 7,000 a year. Not a big deal either unless they start removing thousands.

There are still at least 3800 sorters in operation, more than enough to process ballots.

Finally, I'll add that I believe we need to stop trying to undermine peoples' confidence in voting, just like this Democrat:

“The office has been flooded with calls for the past few days,” said Katie Hobbs, the secretary of state of Arizona and a Democrat. “The concern I have is that, like any campaign of misinformation, it attempts to undermine voters’ confidence in our process.”

Finally 2, while we weed through 50 to 75 post office threads, the Senate report, CV19, etc., are being ignored. This is not helping us.

(which will probably transpire over a period of weeks) is going to totally overwhelm the USPS -- is fanciful in the extreme. And -- there are plenty of rank and file Post Office workers that are going to be more than willing to let us know what is going on at the ground (sorting, moving and delivery) level.

This is a great "messaging" win for the Ds -- go ahead and pound it -- but let's not let the message be, "the Post Office isn't safe!" "My vote won't count!"

You're vote will count. Just make sure you vote!

think those union guys (and reps) are going to let a couple of "suits" co-opt an American election? Not gonna' happen.

... but people just don't listen.

Look at these headlines. Some wisely say "Postmaster General DeJoy says... but many say "Postmaster General DeJoy suspends changes to Postal Service..." or the equivalent, as if it was a done deal.

Trump's Spokesman said no "further" machines would be dismantled before the election.

Sure, after 95% of them were ALREADY dismantled. That's REALLY reassuring, isn't it. That's like telling someone in a speeding car that at least ONE of the wheels is still on.

DeJoy has made sure the equipment is destroyed in the process, so that there's no way to put things back the way they were at all, much less in time for the election.

Jail. Frogmarch DeJoy to jail now while you can, Democrats. It's the only way to stop what is happening. How anyone proposes to fix it is another story.
