There was an article yesterday...I didn't post it, someone else may have, but it basically said that the Biden team has "contingency plans on top of contingency plans" for every nightmare scenario surrounding Trump challenging the election and "refusing to leave."
If we're going to trust Biden to lead, I think we have to trust him to be aware of this (he is), to plan for it (he is), and to take whatever action is necessary when the shit hits the fan (he will).
Just don't lose sleep over it, folks. I am NOT suggesting that you turn a blind eye to it...it's real.
But it's also great clickbait and cable news fodder, it's sensationalism.
Trump isn't Superman. Hell, he's not even Lex Luthor.
He's a bigoted, adulterous, self-obsessed former reality TV star, failed casino owner, failed fake "university" dean, failed real estate tycoon, he's intellectually incurious, the jury's out on whether he can actually read (and at what grade level, if he can), he plays golf and tweets book reviews and slams Fox for not consistently and appropriately adoring him.
So ask yourself this...if you're Joe Biden, and you know all of this, how completely are you planning for what Trump has been broadcasting seven days a week?
Be aware, be concerned, just don't allow yourself to slip into high anxiety over what the orange baboon "might" do. And if Joe Biden IS certified as the winner, it will be President Pelosi if Trump tries to go past 10 seconds at midnight, January 19th. Don't assign superhuman / supernatural powers to this baboon. He will try to get away with anything he can, and he'll then hit the wall.
Peace and out.

(22,278 posts)...I've not been "regularly active" on DU lately because I succumbed to Trump fatigue. I posted about that a while back and said that I probably wouldn't be interacting here daily for a while, for that reason. It's just too damned much. I've gotten to the point where the minute his face is on the TV and he opens his mouth, I reach for the remote. But yeah, thanks for confirming that folks here are aware of it.

(11,107 posts)It would be a delicious irony to see Speaker Pelosi become Madam President Pelosi for a few hours to usher in Joe Biden then as the 47th President instead of the 46th...
Or being shot by Secret Service like Tony Montana character in the end of "Scarface"...bloated, hepped up on a pile of coke and screaming incoherently while being shot to death.
Regardless how, the more humiliating the better IMO.

(7,220 posts)He's vengeful, petty and vindictive. And his sole remaining value as a Russian asset between 11/4/20 and 1/20/21 will be the amount of damage and chaos he can cause.
That's the short-term danger.
The long-term danger is that the losers, crazies and outright traitors who created and supported Trump will still be around, paving a path for someone much smarter and better at fooling the masses.
