...historical tradition of oratory, specifically the Jeremiad. Like Pierce, he identified several strands — it was a beautiful acknowledgement in his part.

I regret I was really tired, and it’s like 90 degrees here — the full impact just didn’t hit me until the panel started in. It looks like Joy Reid, Rachel Maddow, and Nicolle Wallace shed tears off camera.

We tried to back up afterwards, but the DVR was not co-operating. Hopefully someone will have it posted online by tomorrow.

A special shout-out to Brian Williams: he has been sterling about letting the women talk and share their own observations without interruption.

how much damage has been done to me mentally and ultimately physically these last 4 years by living in this political Ghetto. I, along with so very many others here, have been dragged to such a dark place with the feelings of helplessness and despair followed by moments where we believe justice might actually prevail only to be dashed by the the unthinkably corrupt and cruel. Barack Obama's words lifted me to a place of hope and genuine goodness that I had not been to since he left office.

Every day this week, so far, I've gotten teary-eyed. Tonight included.

Every once in a while I realize how much the people I care for are suffering physically. I am sure any doctor could tell you the same thing about the people they see.

I am feeling it myself. I am tired all the time, just physically exhausted. This must end. I fear it won't, that we will be stuck with the madman for another four years.
