Kris Kobach Wants to Build the Wall His Way, and Says He Has the Presidents Blessing
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/25/us/politics/kris-kobach-wall-funding.html?login=email&auth=login-email
Fresh from his defeat in the race for Kansas governor, Mr. Kobach, the former Kansas secretary of state, is involved in an audacious new project a privately-funded wall along the Mexican border.
Mr. Kobach, a hard-line ally of President Trump known for his strident stand on immigration, has long advocated a tough border policy.
He is currently an advisory board member of We Build the Wall Inc. a nonprofit group that has collected more than $12 million toward the effort. Mr. Kobach says the group has obtained the presidential seal of approval for the private initiative.

(14,049 posts)To help promote his crowdfunded wall-building effort, Kolfage recruited Trump-world all stars like Steve Bannon; former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach; pitcher and the bane of Rhode Island Curt Schilling; Blackwater founder Erik Prince; and ex-Milwaukee sheriff David Clarke to join the groups advisory board. In January, Kobach told the New York Timesthat We Build the Wall would be hopefully breaking ground within weeks. That timeframe has been pushed back on a few occasions. In March, Kolfage said they would start breaking ground in April, but he also told Politicothat we should be turning dirt on this thing by May 1, June 1 at the latest.

(49,115 posts)The scheme's board includes Trump's inner circle and other rightwing miscreants... Erik Prince, former CO congressman Tom Tancredo, Sheriff Dave Clarke and former pitcher Curt Schilling.

(26,144 posts)is indeed blind in this Country, where a person may shoplift $5 of stuff, and then find themselves almost immediately in jail for an extended amount of time. How much did these thugs steal? Millions. At least in KS, koback didn't win his election. Maybe the folks in KS are seeing through this fraud?

(11,187 posts)And a pro rock climber climbed over it in FIFTEEN SECONDS, no rope, no grappling hook, just sticky hands and feet like a gecko.
I used to joke about Republicans believing people who walked weeks across a desert would give up when faced with a wall that would slow them down for ten minutes. Looks like I was nine minutes and forty-five seconds off.
