(53,815 posts)the conferences still determined to play. Jalen Rose on ESPN made a keen observation today about a couple of programs who continue to move towards playing this year but have gone vitual for regular student on campus because of covid infections detected in incoming students.
He mad the contention that since regular students won't be allowed on campus but student athletes will be, they should be declared employees since they will be working and thus should be paid.
Who can argue with that? Of course the NCAA doesn't want to hear that as that would cut into the multi-million money pot they are dividing with the coaches and other schools in the individual conferences.

(29,218 posts)Sorry your generation doesn't do it's own research on the virus. Death wasn't the only "negative outcome"
But... most likely... you will never play another down of college football. Or Pro football.
This wasn't "the flu".
You should have stayed home this year. All students should be staying home this year.
