My Facebook Rant (Thanks for reading it)
I'd just about had it today, so I composed this:
Conservatives: trump's people stole from you. They played on your fear of "the other." They took your baseless bigotry and bought a boat and plastic surgery with it. And now, just when it appears the horror show can't get any more terrifying, the president accepts the fawning flattery of an online cult. All you do is smirk and shrug. You believe every conspiracy theory about Democrats without question. When confronted with the truth about the shenanigans going on in your own house, suddenly everything is fake news. You're obstinate.
The only reason you want Republicans in charge is because you like their racist, sexist, and classist policies. You whine about how government is the problem because Reagan told you so. He also said trees cause pollution and you believed that too. You foolishly stood by and laughed as he dismantled the only institution accountable to the people, then you blamed the poor for their own misfortune while he divided the spoils among his Wall Street cronies. Government is supposed to represent us, and you willingly gave it up for the sake of greed. Did you think you'd get rich as the wealth trickled down? All you did was allow the government to serve special interests and corporations, while it eroded civil liberties. If you had an ounce of self respect, you'd be angry. If you can't allow for the fact that the GOP hasn't been the same since Nixon, then you have no business judging any other party or ideology.
Most of you are still chewing your cud, yet you have the nerve to call us sheep. Let me warn you: don't come here trolling. Don't come here with "Obama this and Clinton that." You got nothing. Until you can at least admit that you made a mistake this time, I've got no use for you.
You didn't pick Jeb. You didn't pick Kasich. You didn't even pick Cruz. No, you thought it'd be "Larry the Cable Guy" funny to pick the game show host who grabs women by the genitals while he sucks off Russia. I've seen your poorly reasoned posts and your memes filled with half truths and hatred. I've got news for you; America is sick of frat boys and rednecks. The world is sick of them. The Republican party should be sick of them as well. If not, there's no hope for you or the country because you'll never work with us. You can't expect us to work with this shit show. It's untenable.
