(34,661 posts)6. As per our Carrier
who btw,is one mandatory Overtime and he is the Senior Employee out of his Station. He said yesterday, the overtime is at the discretion of the Station Managers and work load. Covid is raising holy hell with the USPS as well as a ton of early Retirements all coming at one time.
Workers with underlying Conditions and fear for their health, and, are eligible for Retirement are bailing out. Life is more valuable than a damn job.
BTW,our Carrier did not finish work on Wednesday until 11:30 pm. He had to do parts of several Routes that were not covered because of all the above mentioned stuff going on. Wednesday is the heaviest day for our Carriers.
