He wants to be president! He ran hard for it and even though he failed, he got a lot of attention and votes.

Joe promised him a position in his administration, and Pete should have that.

between being a lawyer and "being trained in the law".

https://www.supremecourt.gov/about/faq_general.aspx#:~:text=Do%20you%20have%20to%20be,been%20trained%20in%20the%20law.

Do you have to be a lawyer or attend law school to be a Supreme Court Justice? The Constitution does not specify qualifications for Justices such as age, education, profession, or native-born citizenship. A Justice does not have to be a lawyer or a law school graduate, but all Justices have been trained in the law.

The cameras were rolling, and I heard Joe tell Pete that there would be a place in his administration for Pete.

I was there, and I heard.

Most of all, his ego is not bigger than his commitment to the coyntry. When he dropped out his campaign still had plenty of cash and the gas to stay in the race a lot longser. He knew he couldn't win in the end and saw that the best chance to beat trump was to consolidate behind a candidate who could. I'm sure Joe will give him a good place in the administration and groom him well to further his career of service to the country.

Positions completely unqualified people into high ranking positions... like oil executives as Secretary of State.

Mayor Pete has many places he would fit well- as a non-lawyer though he does not have the education or experience to interpret constitutional law.

There aren't ANY liberals who have, I don't know... passed the bar?

Appointing people to the Supreme Court just because they're progressives is not how things work. That's not what the Supreme Court does. Positions should be filled by qualified people, not fulfill political wet dreams.

I don’t agree. You put too much credence in a degree and not enough in character, intelligence and common sense.

Not only would he do a stellar job at the UN, he’d also get a seat on the NSC. And there’s the bonus of having a high profile member of the LGBTQ community front and center, representing all Americans. That send a serious statement to the homophobic countries passing draconian anti-gay laws. Win, win, win.

............let him get some executive experience, then run for President sometime further down the line. I see something in him, but what he lacks is experience.
