That, and he’s stuck in a 1950s vision of what’s funny. Who else still tosses the word “bitch” around like it’s a laugh trigger? Cringeworthy stuff.

The writing on the show used to be snappy and smart but it hasn’t been that way for a few years now. He also constantly uses out of date poll info. If there’s 8 polls that show the Dems up 10 pts nationally he’ll use the one that says they’re up by 3 and then talk about how we’re blowing it again.

Decided to give him a try a couple of weeks ago. I am through with him

His show isn't enjoyable anymore.

Jon Oliver though is excellent. Oliver does talk very quickly and you can miss a lot of stuff, but he is good

I like Seth and the Noah, never watch Maher. He is right there with Moore. Both sexist. Not my thing. But with Oliver, even being informed like I am, I always learn something.

turns out to be of interest. Otherwise I can't even remember how long it has been since I looked for his show. Some of it has been provocative, funny, entertaining, but a lot is a bit cringeworthy.

He’s not that funny. He’s white, privileged, and afraid to lose any of it. He loves playing with conservatives to try to make himself look like the cleverest dick in the room. But in the end, he’s just that terrified old white guy yelling “You kids stay off my lawn!” Every night he’s on.

Younger people have a greater sense of history and empathy that Maher's generation lacked. What Maher calls "woke". Others would call it being sensitive to other people's history.

He should retire.
