Nobody knows him better than his family.
His older sister, Mary Ann, was secretly recorded saying some very unkind remarks about her younger brother, Donald. She said he was a liar. He could not be trusted. He had no principles. Donald only cared about Donald.
"Holy sh*t", she said.
But the media then debated whether or not her comments had any value because they were taped secretly? However, that should not be the question.
The real question is whether or not she was speaking with candor. Most would agree that she was saying exactly how she felt about her brother. Whether or not it was taped "in secret" or not is a secondary issue.
She was only saying what the majority of Americans already know. They know that Donald Trump cannot be trusted. They know that he lies to protect himself from embarrassing or criminal charges. They understand that loyalty is a one-way street with him.
The truth is that he is the biggest "hoax" ever perpetrated on the American people. He is the domestic threat that is mentioned in our Constitution. He lies with a purpose. He is a most dangerous propagandist, that threatens our very democracy.

We know by now how the M$M is.
I think this was an unforced error on Mary's part ... great risk, w/o an especially great upside.

(33,643 posts)Of course one would assume that Mary's the one that did the recording ...
In any case she's the one that let CNN hear the tapes, so who was holding the taping device, if not her personally, is likely not of much consequence

I agree that it is "not of much consequence" who was holding the recording device.
