General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsThis morning around 730 am I turn on the TV while getting ready for a bike ride. On
CNN there is this black dude talking about how Trump has done more for blacks and other minorities than
any other President in history. More than JFK, LBJ and Lincoln. Where in the f--- do they find these people that are that delusional to go out and make an ass out of themselves for Trump!? Trump could just as well have white supremacist tattooed on his forehead or wear a sheet and a hood and he finds a black guy that will sell his soul for him. Trump said Ted Cruz's dad helped assassinate Kennedy and he talks trash on John McCain Lindsey Grahams friend and they still support him. Trump's sister says Trump has no principles and apparently no Republican has any principles either.

make sure they get on that bus.

(39,086 posts)Cheerios. I can't even watch the news anymore without having a stroke. It is great to get out on the bike with no TV or people to give you headaches for a couple hours.

and then pipe my rides to Strava because they have better analysis IMO.
I'm embarrassed to say I have over 3400 miles on the bike so far this year. As I said, Covid has really given me the time to improve my cycling!
Take care and ride on!

(16,254 posts)He was certainly a victim of the Kool-Aid.
There must be some radio stations they are listening to, like Hannity, Limbaugh, Lou Dobbs, etc., where they are fed that crap every day. He was certainly convinced. I didn't catch his name and have never seen him before, but the host sure wasn't able to get through to him that he was all wet.
Their propaganda stream has filled them with so much hate that we'll never be able to deprogram them. For a long time, it was taxes, abortion and "those people" but, now...it's Biden, Hillary (of course), taking their guns, AOC/progressives, Kamala Harris, low-rent housing, on and on.
We're about to hear of all the vile and demonic actions of the "Democrat" Party, so hang on!

(15,463 posts)(although, yep -- frustrating as hell). But there has always been the Phyllis Schlafly for the Equal Rights amendment -- and the scientists (counted on one hand) that completely disavow global warning. And the media (or some guy hawking a book) is always going to be able to trot out the Jewish man that dealt with the Third Reich, or the black man that opposed civil rights -- or the Indian scout that served with the "blue coats." And in the end, it means less than nothing. Other than the fact that contrarianism is built in to the human genome. And the media loves a good circus act.
