I thought it odd theyd done the nominating part and acceptance speeches already. No nominations, no platform, its a pageant for Spanky and ilk.
I plan to watch. Well see how far I get.
Got to admit, with the audiotape, Kellyanne leaving, Falwell crashing, Eric facing legal action, etc. it hasnt gone particularly well so far. 🤣

It was awesome.
But, NO ONE thought Bernie would be nominated.

But tonight may be all I can take. It's just nasty, dishonest, divisive, dishonest, gaslighting crap.

I'm been watching the latest iteration of Mulan, but as I heard him, I had to get a grasp of how they see themselves and the world.
While they pride themselves on their love of "liberty" which I know is defined by the Koch, Mercer and .01% as MONEY; and love the nation, which they equate with THEM, they think their rule is best for their version of freedom -- AND, ANYone can join the Republican Party!
Nowhere is there any sense of justice. It's JustUs. Opportunity and money solve all justice problems, in their world.
THEY EVEN THINK IT'S OKAY TO FAIL CIVICS!
"We're flawed but we're always striving to be better!
We don't give in to cancel culture or the factually wrong belief that things are worse today.
We have made tremendous progress.
Trump has built the most inclusive economy ever!
We put hard earned tax dollars back in people pockets, lowered single parent families taxes by 70% on average."
From Tim Scott:
"Joe Biden spearheaded the Crime Bill.
Joe Biden's racist.
Joe Biden wants to come for your pocketbooks because of this covid and give it to elites. Trump really wants to put more money in your pockets.
Our side is working on policy while Joe Biden Democrats are trying to change what it means to be an Americans.
Don't watch what Joe Biden says, watch what he does, what he has done.
Radical left Democrats want a cultural revolution, a socialist utopia, which only turns to misery for people only wanting to rise.
Instead we should focus on the promise -- my story is proof. From cotton to Congress in one lifetime.
The next century can be better than the last.
The Republican ticket gives you the best change to make the American Dream a reality."

(43,352 posts)America and Western Civilization together, and Trump's the one to do it!
I'm beginning to see the merits of listening to what they say they believe about themselves, and what they actually do.
What's behind it all is that Rule of Law is an inconvenient obstacle to what America's really about: making money.
When a Trumper asks me "what crime?" I list them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_affairs_of_Donald_Trump?fbclid=IwAR2OstmurYRQ_33ZxUv0fTGdQVwqfvbG0UzUOw29jdDajNunACEKkbj4Y74
When I ask a Trumper about Biden, I get nothing but Fox talking points. AND always the Crime Bill, and how he "spearheaded" it. I was there when it passed. The Black Caucus was begging for that bill after their communities were torn up by the CIA's flooding of drugs into them.

SHEESH... this is interminable. Just trudges on and on - or yawn and yawn! WHEN does it end?
I guess I missed Nikki Haley. Got in a mood to finish pulling weeds while there was still some daylight. A neighbor and I cleaned out a potential bed for ferns and maybe another tree, but MAN was it overgrown! Also just about to go to seed! Glad to have that taken care of.
But seriously. When are they wrapping this up for the night?
