Both made their mark as out-sourcerers in the 80's....moving jobs from the US to Mexico to increase profits and shareholder value. They were both Republicans. Welch (GE) had many young devotee's that went on to spread the Republican gospel on moving US jobs out of the USA.

whenever we socially meet at neighbourhood get-togethers, we masked, him not, but kept at a comfortable socially distanced place and no touching which he is good for or just the random beer drinking on deck, he always says "no-politics", but is the first to start spewing trump-fox-BS. We let it get out of his system and W** and I start reeling off the most obvious lies, especially about the danger we are all facing from trumps pandemic in America. He usually leaves early.
