Melania's speech may have been as good as the RNC could have hoped, but it likely failed

The speech was well written, including the first Trump words of sympathy for people who died of covid. It was delivered as well as anything I have heard Melanie do.

But, if the goal was to reach women in the suburbs, there is NO CONTEST between Melania and Dr Biden. Dr Biden's story of dating Joe Biden and bonding with his two little boys, who tragically lost their mom is compelling and she is someone easy to relate to. Contrast a model who dated a married man cheating on his second wife. Melania has very little in common with any woman in the suburbs. Further, though the RNC pushed it, she is also not a modern Jackie because she does not have the class. She is what she is, to paraphrase Trump and we all know what that is.

She never looked at Trump either, nor was it from the start to end any light moments in her voice. It was like it was per corded tape computerized voice!

But she has been here 25 years. This was her best speech, but the others were abysmal. My point is that even if her speech was the best written (by someone else) and perfectly given, if the goal was reaching suburban housewives, everything about her is wrong.

It’s looks like you’re spoiling for an argument at all costs. If you don’t understand something, just say so. No need to be so defensive and insulting.

hypocrisy of everyone associated with this administration

Reading posts here it seems that some in the media are raving about her speech because it seems to show compassion. It is ironic in my mind because her presentation was without emotion or empathy, as though she would rather be somewhere else, but what is more ironic is that everything presented in that speech, from the supposed BLM empathy, to being against the social media abuses, are the very issues that the president, her husband, have been guilty of for the last three and three quarter years. Her speech was a total hypocrisy and contradiction of what this administration and the republican have been doing

I think it is being used as a metaphor only toward those associated with trump

I know exactly how you feel though. My wife is an immigrant

She's Holly Golightly who married a millionaire and is pretty clueless about things.. I think of a woman who was a member of an online group of foreign women married to Japanese men. Her husband was a politician. She was from an Eastern European country. A lot of members suspected from her posts of him not coming home until morning and "working late" that he was having affairs but didn't say anything. A few years later she found out and divorced him. She didn't know anything about politics, just repeated things she was told to say. Malaria isn't some sort of Nazi mastermind.

It's laughable these crazy writers are comparing her to a modern Jackie O. This is a former hooker dressed up to look like the Conman's wife and who rode on his coattails because of $. She probably has a clause in her prenup that for every trip & appearance she has to make with him it with cost him XX amount of dollars. She grifts like the rest of the 45's family (except for Mary of course).
