Trump has now used a WH pardon and a naturalization ceremony during a political convention.

Let's get this out of the way. Those men in uniform opening the doors? Those are not soldiers. Those are Marines.

Some people are confused by that. Also, I'm sure they did not volunteer to appear in convention footage.

The president has now used a pardon and a naturalization ceremony, both at the White house, during a political convention. #RNC2020

Chad Wolf: "Mr. President, I want to again commend you for your dedication to the rule of law." #RepublicanConvention

The White House explanation is bizarre and vague. I’m not sure what they were trying to say. They can’t possibly mean they publiclicized that they were going to pull this stunt. So I can only guess that they mean they posted the video somewhere online first and think that...

and then Trump the Candidate just happened to see the footage that was posted on the WH website and decided to use it for his campaign like anyone could have.

See, it totally wasn't planned as a campaign event at all! Totally not illegal!

As was a) Secretary Pompeo delivering a speech (at all) and b) delivering it from our embassy in Jerusalem.

Their defense? “Well, we told you we were going to do it, and nobody stopped us, so it must be OK.”

Second line of defense: “Aw, come on. We’ve done a lot of stuff that’s MUCH WORSE than this. Get over it.”

While he remains in office, they will violate any and every act that once kept politicians in check. They have no sense of justice except their own.

. Two of the immigrants naturalized in the Trump-led ceremony at the RNC were not asked or informed until minutes that Trump would be there and were not informed it would be part of the RNC.

Mark Meadows said something about how only people within the Beltway know or care about the Hatch Act. It is still a law. Many outside Wall Street don't know all the SEC regulations but violators don't get a pass.
