And he went on to say:

White House chief of staff Mark Meadows clarifies to us that he thinks the concerns over the Hatch Act are overblown"

So it is now, officially, the policy of the trump administration that they can ignore laws that they don't think should matter. Good to know.

I did call the number. Only response is to "press one to leave a message" which I did.
