I try to keep some bland food and a couple of sports drinks to cut with water on hand if dehydrated. That's all I really need.

Can't really do much with a virus if no vaccine. It needs to run its course.

I also have some disposable masks, if needed. I have picked up extra hand sanitizer and a couple packages of disinfectant wipes and I already had a big box of gloves that I use for messy jobs. It all fits into a shoebox sized container.

I really don't expect the shortages we had earlier this year. I think supply is starting to meet demand.

For what it's worth, the Southern Hemisphere had essentially NO flu season this year, probably because there was no travel from China, which is always the source for influenza. So unless we suddenly open up to travel from China, we and the rest of the Northern Hemisphere will likewise have no flu season to speak of.

The claims that this flu season is going to be a bad one have pretty much zero basis in fact.

to my cousin. I wanted to donate both last year to the senior center and I procrastinated so long that now with covid I couldn't donate.

I have found a new gloriously, monotonous, time consuming hobby. It's called diamond art or diamond painting and because I never go small, I went big BIG and the 5 pieces (plus 3 more on order) I have will last me much longer than next summer. I might need to live another 25 years to get them all done.

Food, busy material and netflix/hulu and I am good to go.

I installed a UV light in my return air duct.

I use air filters that have a high MERV rating.

I disinfect high touch items in the home daily.

I sanitize bathroom and kitchen counters daily.

I wear a mask when out and about and use hand sanitizer.

I wash my hands often and properly.

I sanitize groceries that need to be put away and keep the rest in the basement for at least 3 days before putting away.

I replace dish rags, dish towels, and hand towels daily and I wash and dry the items using the sanitize cycle along with towels, underwear and socks.

I run the cleaning cycle on the washing machine monthly.

I maintain a 45 day supply of food, personal hygiene products and other supplies and a 30 day supply of water in the home.
